1. Purpose. This seminar has two basic purposes: to introduce Ph.D. students to the state of the art in studies of judicial politics and to cover a series of particular topics, with emphasis on the major controversies in the field.

2. Readings. Most readings are from journals and edited volumes (the course outline has links to J-Stor and .pdf files).
